Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals
If you've ever wanted to get a robot vacuum, now's your chance. CNET's top-rated models are available for sale this Black Friday and Cyber Monday and can save you up to 57%.
The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that is equipped with smart mapping and app-based no go zones. Its running time of 180 minutes is impressive. It also self-empties and refills its water tank.
1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.
The Roomba j7+, iRobot’s most advanced robot to date is the Roomba j7+. Its biggest innovation, however, is its camera-based obstacle detection system. It uses AI to identify objects such as charging cords and shoes. It's also the first robot to automatically send you photos of an object it encounters so that you can tell it to avoid it in the future.
The Combo J7+ is the best robot mop that we have ever tested. It cleans up dirt and spills quickly, leaving no trace that it was there. The iRobot application makes it simple to control. It can schedule cleanings, and also create Keep Out Zones to ensure that it doesn't vacuum in areas that you don't would like. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start it and stop it with a voice.
Its design is also an improvement over the rest, with a sleek top piece that appears more like a toy robot than a loud, obnoxious one. And the Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System is self-emptying and is ideal to reduce the time spent cleaning.
In our tests the j7+ performed quick to clean up dust dirt, pet hair and other particles. The counter-rotating rubber brush roll kept the debris in one location instead of scattering it all over the floor. It even managed to take small gravel and sand which other robots aren't able to do. And it did all this without getting caught in our pet's hair shedding.
While it's not quite as smart as the $1,217 iRobot Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Vacuum and can't clean stairs The j7+ is still a solid option for those who need a vac and a mop in their home. It's not too expensive and the iRobot App makes it easy to use.
Although the iRobot Home app is very easy to use however we've found it be less reliable than other applications that utilize robotic cleaners. It can take some time to download updates and it is sometimes difficult to determine if they are working until you actually see them in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
When you're looking for a vacuum that does more than simply clean floors, the most effective option is likely to be one that is a hybrid. This kind of robot usually comes with a built-in tank for water that allows them to mop and vacuum your home simultaneously. They also come with many additional features such as smart mapping and small object avoidance and the possibility of washing and re-drying mopping pads. The disadvantage is that they can be expensive when purchased at full retail, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they usually drop in price.
Roborock makes some of our most loved robot vacuums, and the Q5+ is no exception. This is their least expensive auto-empty model. While it lacks some of the features you'll find on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's a great option if you're willing to sacrifice a little to save some hundred dollars.

The Q5+ is remarkably gentle when it comes to obstacles like tables and walls. This makes it a great option for homes with many furniture pieces. It's also very thorough when it comes to cleaning dust bunnies, which is a place where many cheaper robot vacuums often fail. The technology used to navigate in the Q5+ is fantastic and has very few missed corners and along walls.
The Q5+, as with other Roborock products can be controlled with just a few buttons on the device or via the Roborock App. The app lets you start and stop cleanings, set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go zones and modify your home map, or re-label rooms.
If you opt for the Q5+, it comes with a new auto-empty dock, which was specifically designed to make this robot easy to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver but once it's installed emptying the bin can be accomplished easily. It has a large LCD screen, which is useful in setting up schedules and changing settings. This isn't a necessary feature for most people but it can aid in keeping the track of your robot's maintenance intervals with ease.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a clever, well-rounded mop and vacuum. It's capable of both mopping and vacuuming. Its design is among the most innovative in the market however, it's costly.
Its base station looks good and is easily hidden when not in use, and the dimensions are quite small. The primary selling point of the station is that it automates many tasks, functions, and chores that other robots leave to you. It can store dirty and clean water and electrolyze and heat the water. Most other robovacs will require you to do this.
Its vacuuming performance is quite impressive and efficient, too. It's one of the few robot vacuums I've tested that does a really good job of picking up debris on plain floors, and is not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot the 900 series.
The Freo X Ultra is not without faults, particularly when it comes navigation. Its laser sensors and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as other robotvacs. This means it can get stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms of the house. It also can't climb stairs like other models and doesn't come with a dock that can create a cleaning zone for plush carpets.
While it doesn't offer as much in the way of cleaning-related options in its app or as many shortcuts within the app like other robovacs the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for those looking for a comprehensive robot vacuum and mop that's worth the higher price cost.
If smart robot looking for a way to save money or aren't averse to the limitations of the robot, there are plenty of other options on the market. Many eufy models cost significantly less. The Eufy Qrevo Curv, for example is less expensive and provides an identical experience on the app with additional features such as stairs, a fully-function dock, and better overall vacuuming performance on bare floors as well as high- and low-pile carpets.
4. Eufy RoboVac g30
Eufy, a Anker company has a proven track record of creating robot vacuums that strike a good balance between features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning of hard and carpet flooring, and a mopping function for a low cost. It's simple to set up by snapping one of the side brushes on, switch on and plug in the charging dock. The app guides you through several steps to connect to your Wi-Fi and then the G30 is ready to go. The dock will need to be located near an outlet with plenty of room to move.
The G30 is a small device, measuring 2.85 inches in height, meaning it can be placed under most couches and pieces of low-clearance furniture. Its design is a little less flashy than some of the rival models, with sleek black finishes and three buttons that are physical such as Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge and Spot Cleaning (which cleans the area in an arc for two minutes). You can also link the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to perform cleaning that is not scheduled using voice commands.
The most important feature that sets the G30 above the rest is the way it cleans. It makes use of an integrated map to make an image of the immovable objects in its path. It remembers what it has already cleaned and where it cannot access. It will return to the base to recharge and continues cleaning the area it left.
The elegant G30 has some flaws. The iRobot Roomba is more durable and has lower cost of operation. It charges faster, has a similar battery life, and performs better on unfinished flooring or carpet with a low pile. It has a larger dust bin, which doesn't require as much emptying. It also has boundary strips that keep it from certain areas. The G30 is, on the other hand, is more affordable and a lot more manageable to maintain. Its smaller canister means it doesn't need to be emptied as frequently, and it has less difficulty with bulky items like cereal.
